Sani Top Cultural Overnight Special
Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our Sani Top Cultural Overnight Tour, a thrilling journey to the rooftop of Southern Africa! This tour whisks you up the iconic Sani Pass, climbing 2,874 meters above sea level, with stops at breathtaking viewpoints and historic border posts.
Once at the top you will immerse yourself in the rich culture of Lesotho with a guided visit to the Sani Top Church or Basotho village, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local Basotho Venue and then overnight at a local lodge where you will experience a Basotho stay for the night. Optional horse riding or guided mountain walks can be arranged.
Day 1: Depart Underberg joining other guests on a Sani Pass Day Tour and enjoy the adventure up the Pass stopping along the way. Once at the top you will enter Lesotho and visit the Sani Top Church or Village followed by lunch at a local venue. After lunch you will be taken to Masoebasoeba Lodge where you will settle in and enjoy your afternoon at leisure – either hike, explore the area or arrange a pony trek with the owner. Overnight in basic but comfortable and homely accommodation.
Day 2: After breakfast enjoy the morning again at leisure and at around 12h00 you will be collected by one of our guides and taken for lunch again at a local venue whereafter you will join others and descend the Sani Pass back to Underberg by 15h30/16h00
