Extended Cultural Lesotho Day Tour
Join us on our Extended Cultural Lesotho Day Tour which takes you 60km into the Eastern Highlands of Lesotho, to the remote trading town of Mokhotlong. This tour offers more cultural and scenery and includes lunch at a local Mokhotlong venue.
We depart from our office at 08h00 in a 4X4 vehicle with a driver guide and head up the Sani Pass, stopping at breathtaking view sites and the two border posts.
Once we reach the summit we enter Lesotho Border and proceed onto the Sani Top Church to enjoy a visit and short break before heading up to Black Mountain for a short walk to view Thabana Ntlenyana (the highest peak in Southern Africa).
Travelling on we head down through the beautiful Sehonghong Valley and onto a visit with a local healer(Sangoma)– a really awesome stop for all of our guests
We continue on into the remote trading town called Mokhotlong (once known as the most remote outpost under the British Empire).
We enjoy lunch at your own cost at a local Guest Village
View the rare Spiral Aloe (Lesotho’s National plant) and admire old buildings and also get to see how the Basotho folk trade.
We then head back to the summit of the Sani Pass and descend back down to Underberg.

What To Bring
- Children Under 18 years of age require Unabridged Birth Certificates.
- Warm jacket.

Fitness
- All types – not strenuous.
What to Wear
- In Summer – light weight pants , top and bring a jacket.
- In Winter – dress very warmly , scarf , gloves etc.

Please note that some passports do require visas to enter Lesotho.
