Day 1
Depart at 8am from Underberg in a guided 4X4 vehicle and proceed into Lesotho Via Sani Pass with a stop for tea at Sani Top Church. We also make a brief stop at Skeering Village which is a local Basotho Village. Travelling further along the Roof of Africa, stopping at Oxbow Lodge for lunch, we travel to Leribe where we will have dinner and overnight at Bird Haven Lodge.
Day 2
We enjoy breakfast at 8:00am and depart Bird Haven to view the Dinosaur footprints in Leribe, as well as visit the Kome Caves – a unique cave dwelling dating back to the time that Cannibals inhabited Lesotho. These caves were used as a hideout for Basotho people wanting to escape the Cannibals during a severe famine. After seeing the Kome Caves we travel onto the vibrant and busy city of Maseru, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. We then travel onto the highlands to Semonkong and the Maltsutane Falls. After viewing these incredible falls you travel to Semonkong Lodge where we will overnight.

Day 3
We enjoy an early breakfast at 7:00am and head off to the Maletsunyane Falls, a 192-metre-high waterfall, located near the town of Semonkong, which is also named after the falls. The waterfall is on the Maletsunyane River and it falls from a ledge of Triassic-Jurassic basalt. After this incredible sight, we depart the Lesotho highlands via passes that enter South Africa at Qacha’s Nek. We will stop for lunch in South Africa at Matatiele, after which we will return to Underberg.
